Tallulah Bankhead explains to Lucy Ricardo that she's allergic to strawberries in this lost scene from "The Celebrity Next Door."
This scene was missing from the 1997 VHS video release of the episode, and is missing from the DVD set of the "Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour," Seasons 7-9. It is not found on the special features portion of the disc, nor was it shown on TVLand reruns.
Without this scene, key plot twists later in the episode that refer to Bankhead's strawberry allergy make no sense at all to the viewer.
