From Washington

It appears that the young Atlanta lawyer with extensive drug resistant or
XDR TB who caused an international scare- didn't have the lethal strain. The
CDC, using a more precise way to diagnose the condition has downgraded it to
mutiple drug resistence or MDR with can be treated with antibiotics.

From Baltimore

Autism may be diagnosed by the 1-year point. Nearly half of those with the
condition demonstrate autistic behavior by the 14 month point. Concerned
parents are urged to seek prompt attention.

From London

Cats are not good for lungs. In a study across Europe, researchers find that
exposure to cats- in those who are not known to be allergic to cats- causes
asthma-like constriction of the airways. Those most affected were allergic
to molds, grass and dust mites.

And finally from Sweden

Those with diabetes may want to consider adopting a hunter gatherer diet.
Those who adhered to the diet of meats, nuts, and fruits had better control
of their sugars than did those on the so-called Mediterranean diet which
also contains cereals and dairy.
