The problem affects 1-5 Japanese.

Tokyo resident Masaaki Murakami has installed a pollen level detector on his balcony which issues warnings on a scale from 1 to 5 with the color of the detector's eyes changing depending on the pollen level.

"The detector eyes are white when the pollen levels are low, but when its high the eyes turn blue. Thats when I get nervous and my nose starts running and getting itchy."
